Cold ambient temperature does not have an adverse effect on conduit strength or characteristics. Installation & JoiningInstallation of HDPE conduit is similar to that of standard cable systems conduit can be trench-laid, plowed or directionally bored.

Although benign to chemically aggressive native soil, installation of HDPE conduit in soils contaminated with organic solvents (oil, gasoline) is not recommended. MaintenanceProperly designed and installed, HDPE conduit systems require little on-going maintenance. HDPE is resistant to most ordinary chemicals and because it is non-conducting it is not susceptible to galvanic corrosion nor will it contribute to electrical interference.

HDPE pipe is immune to attack by, and provides no host nutrients for, bacterial or fungal growth. It is impervious to insect attack and is designed to protect cable from rodent attack and accidental dig-up.
